Sentosa Faisel Touch Art Ultra High Performance Concrete Landscape Installation in Singapore
Sentosa Sensoryscape "is a revolutionary landscape project located on Sentosa Island in Singapore, combining ecological design with sensory engagement to provide visitors with a multi
sensory immersive experience. The project connects different areas of the island through a 350 meter long trail, which features multiple sensory gardens and three iconic "container" landscape
installations. By utilizing the deep integration of architecture and natural environment, it showcases the functional and spatial artistic potential of concrete and other materials in modern
architecture. This project was designed by Serie Architects and Multiply Architects, with AKT II responsible for engineering design and executed by Axis Architects, reflecting cutting-edge
architectural design and construction techniques.
The Touch Vessel is a container made of ultra-high performance concrete slabs, whose surfaces have been carefully treated to create a unique texture that encourages visitors to interact
with their environment through touch. The surface texture of concrete is coordinated with the surrounding natural landscape, creating a space that is both sturdy and artistically expressive.
This design not only provides practicality (providing seating and shelter for tourists), but also combines artistry, becoming a part of the landscape.
